Obituary

Nancy L. Stoddard, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Born in Richmond Maine, she was the beloved daughter of the late Sylvio and Iris Dube.

Nancy was the devoted wife of the late Norman O. Stoddard, Jr., her partner in life and love, with whom she shared many wonderful years and built a close-knit and loving family. Together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support for their children and grandchildren.

Above all else, Nancy's greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her five children: Norman E. Stoddard and his wife Theresa of Middletown; Joseph S. Stoddard and his wife Cheryl of Coventry; Kenneth M. Stoddard and his wife Patricia of Attleboro; Laura C. Gaspa and her husband James of Millis; and Melissa L. Stoddard of Attleboro. She was also a proud and cherished grandmother to ten grandchildren and was blessed with many beloved great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense happiness to her life.

For nearly 40 years, Nancy was a respected and trusted tax preparer in the Attleboro community. Known for her integrity, kindness, and remarkable attention to detail, she built lasting relationships with countless clients who appreciated not only her professionalism, but also her caring and compassionate nature. She was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer reassuring advice to anyone in need.

Nancy had a gifted and creative spirit that shined brightly through her love of sewing, crafting, and handmade artistry. She took great pride in creating beautiful items and treasured the time spent attending craft fairs alongside her daughter Melissa, sharing both her talents and her joyful personality with others. Whether she was sewing, crafting, or preparing thoughtful handmade gifts for loved ones, Nancy expressed her love through everything she created.

She also found happiness in life's simple pleasures. Nancy loved reading, gathering with family and friends, and enjoying spirited games of bingo and cribbage, where her competitive streak and quick wit often made her the one to beat. Her sense of humor, strength, and loving heart made every gathering brighter and every moment together memorable.

Nancy will be remembered as a woman of deep love, quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she cared for. Her kindness touched many lives, and her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the friendships she cherished, and the countless memories she leaves behind. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
