Nancy Jane Savaria

Nancy Jane (Lees) Savaria, 79, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Life Care Center of Attleboro.
Born on July 27, 1940 in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Wright Fitton Lees Sr. and the late Bertha Eleanor (Hill) Lees Pierce.
Raised and educated in Swansea, MA, Nancy was a graduate of Joseph Case High School and worked for twenty-five years as an Inspector for the former Codex Corporation, then Motorola Corporation, in Mansfield, MA, before retiring.
A resident of Attleboro since 1991, she previously lived in North Attleboro, MA from 1979 until 1991.
Nancy attended the former Central Congregational Church in Fall River, MA.  She loved spending time at Horseneck Beach in Westport, MA, in Maine, especially to Bar Harbor, and at the Mansfield Country Store. She enjoyed visits to the casino, playing the slot machines and scratch cards, and going for long rides in the car. Nancy was an avid reader of cookbooks and delighted in watching British television shows. More than anything, she treasured spending time with her grandchildren.
Nancy was the loving mother of Valerie J. Dore and her husband, Douglas F. Dore, of North Attleboro, MA; Rev. Mark R. Sowersby and his wife, Jennifer L. Sowersby, of Herkimer, NY; and Neil M. Sowersby Jr. and his wife, Eton Sowersby, of Glenolden, PA.  She was the proud and adoring grandmother of Amanda Sowersby, Erin Sowersby, Meghan Sowersby, Ian Sowersby, Seanna Sowersby, Kaelyn Sowersby, and Norah Grace Sowersby "Love". Nancy was the sister of the late Wright "Sonny" Fitton Lees Jr. and the late Gregory E. Pierce, and leaves several nieces and nephews.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of face masks, friends and family are cordially invited to honor Nancy by attending Visitation on Monday, July 27, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Friends and family are also invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.  Again, strict adherence to Covid-19 health precautions must prevail.
Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro.
Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a continued time of fellowship.
