Nancy Irene Farranti

Nancy Irene (Lyman) Farranti, 79, of Attleboro, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, September 17, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Peter Farranti, Jr. who died in 2013.Born on July 4, 1937 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph N. Lyman and the late Eva (Brodeur) Lyman.Nancy was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1955, and was a lifelong resident of Attleboro. Over the years she worked in the offices of the L.G. Balfour Company, the J.C. Campbell Paper Company, Hasbro, Inc., and the Sun Chronicle newspaper.She was a communicant of St. Stephen's Church and then Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church in Seekonk, MA. Nancy enjoyed cooking and playing the lottery. She had a terrific memory for the "old days", and loved gathering with friends and family and talking about those times.She leaves her dear brother, Roland R. Lyman of South Attleboro, MA; and her cousin and caretaker, Janice D. Brodeur of Attleboro, MA. She was the sister of the late Elaine (Lyman) Bianchi and her husband, Dick Bianchi, of Connecticut, and leaves her sister-in-law, Diva Medeiros of Pawtucket, RI. Nancy is survived by seven nieces and nephews: Cherie J. Dube, Brian J. Lyman, Michelle E. Sullivan, Kevin M. Bianchi, Scott E. Bianchi, Pamela A. Foucalt, and Linda Corvese; as well as many dear friends and her extended family.Visitation has respectfully been omitted.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home,161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Children's room is available during the funeral service.Private burial services will be held in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro, MA, at which time Nancy will be laid to rest alongside her late husband.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's memory to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to The Susan G.
