Nancy Lydia (DiDonato) DeVito, 67, of Plainville, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Watertown, MA, at the home of her sister and surrounded by family.Born on January 23, 1950 in Brighton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Mary (Grassi) DiDonato. Nancy was a graduate of Watertown High School, Class of 1968. A resident of Plainville since 1998, where she attended St. Martha's Church, she previously lived in Walpole, MA.A bright, warm, and caring woman, she enjoyed crafting, gardening, quilting, playing Sudoku, and apple picking. More than anything else, Nancy loved spending time with family and friends, and held a special place in her heart for her late cherished dogs: "Patrick" and "Bradley".Nancy is survived by her loving and beloved children: David E. DeVito and his wife, Kimberly Ann (Arseneau) DeVito of North Attleboro, MA, and Kim M. DeVito and her husband, Dominick J. Ferrara IV, of Dorchester, MA. She was the adoring grandmother of Nicholas Rocco DeVito and Alexander Dennis DeVito, and step-grandmother of Dominick J. Ferrara V, and Christopher E. Ferrara. She was the dear sister of Anna Marie Rozzi and her husband, Frank P. Rozzi, of Watertown, MA; Frances Jean DiDonato of Shrewsbury, MA; and Joseph DiDonato and his wife, Marsha DiDonato, of Shrewsbury, MA. She leaves several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.She was the former wife of David A. DeVito of Mansfield, MA.Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Nancy by gathering for a Visitation on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, North Attleboro, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro, MA.Burial will immediately follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro, MA.Children's room is available during the visitation and funeral service.In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Fund ID #11051639, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.For additional information or to send the family a written expression of sympathy, please visit an online guest book at www.dyer-lakefuneralhome.com .
