Nancy Abigail "Abby" (Gibeault) Reynolds Cassidy, 93, of Attleboro, MA passed away at Sturdy Memorial Hospital on May 25, 2025, with her children by her side.
She was born on September 7, 1931, in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Hector Arthur Gibeault and Anna Agnes Carr. Abby, as she was known, was the wife of Charles Francis Reynolds Jr - they were married for 22 years and had eight children together. Later in life, she was married to James Francis Cassidy for 35 years.
Having been raised in North Attleboro, Abby, attended North Attleboro High School, graduating in 1949. She was known as an athlete, participating in basketball.
Her hobbies were many; she was an avid reader, a talented seamstress, a knitting dynamo – she found her exercise in reupholstering furniture, stripping and refinishing antique finds and wallpapering her home with vivid colors.
Abby found joy during her years in the NH mountains and the Florida beaches, the two places where she created many cherished memories with their many friends. She most definitely embraced living life and was most often seen with a smile on her face.
She is survived by six of her eight children: Nancy A Stack and her husband, Steve, Sara-Lynn Reynolds, Charles F Reynolds III, Patricia A Rioux and her husband, Jack, Elizabeth Schofield and her husband, Thomas, Pamela Reynolds and 14 of her 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
