Nancy White (White) Appleton, 90, of North Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro, MA. Born on May 8, 1927 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of Karl S. White and Charlotte (Williamson) White, both of whom were school teachers. Raised and educated in Brockton, MA, she was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1945.A resident of North Attleboro since 1985, she cherished her role as Homemaker to her family. A devout Catholic, she taught Sunday School for several years. A warm and outgoing woman, Nancy had many interests in her life: She played the violin; enjoyed sewing, knitting, and bowling; loved to travel, especially to Italy and Florida; and enjoyed simply taking strolls and walks. She was the loving and beloved mother of Janet A. (Appleton) Proost and her husband, John R. Proost, of North Attleboro, MA; James D. Appleton and his wife, Dianne J. (Janelle) Appleton, of Attleboro, MA; and the late Kathy Jean Appleton. She was the adoring grandmother of Christopher J. Proost, Jeffrey R. Proost, Erica D. Curran, Brett J. Appleton, and Kelsey M. Appleton; and great-grandmother of Abbigail C. Proost and Jameson Curran. She was the sister of the late Margaret (White) Verity. Nancy leaves her close friend and companion, Henry Colletto of VA. She was the former wife of the late David B.
