Myrtle C. "Myrt" (Getchell) Mikula Mang, 95, of Hope Gardens, Park Street, Attleboro, died on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital as her longtime friend, Claire A. Fauteux, held her hand. She was the wife of the late William J. Mang and the late Joseph John Mikula who died in 1964. Born in Lincoln, Rhode Island on July 5, 1918, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Mary Ellen (Jackson) Getchell. She was educated in Woonsocket, Rhode Island where she was a 1935 graduate of Woonsocket High School. An Attleboro resident for the past 43 years, Mrs. Mang formerly resided in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Mrs. Mang was employed as a tester for Texas Instruments in Attleboro for 23 years prior to her retirement in 1986 and where she developed many frienships that she cherished to this day. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Seekonk. Mrs. Mang was a member of the former St. Stephen's Seniors, the former St. Mary's Saints and People Enjoying Active Living - P.E.A.L. in South Attleboro. Her family includes her longtime dear friends: Claire A. Fauteux and Carol A. Shea of South Attleboro. She was predeceased by two siblings: Russell and Earl Getchell. Friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Children's room available during visitation and the funeral service. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland, Rhode Island. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced..
