Myra Patricia Lowe

Myra Patricia (Wortman) Lowe, 85, of Mary Kennedy Drive, North Attleboro, died on Friday, December 30, 2011 at her residence surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 11, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Emily (Gilmore) Wortman. She was raised and educated in Somerville and was a 1944 graduate of Somerville High School. She later attended secretarial school. Prior to moving to North Attleboro more than 60 years ago, Mrs. Lowe was a resident of Medford and her native community of Somerville. Mrs. Lowe was employed as an administrative assistant and office manager for the Town of North Attleboro Superintendent of Schools Department for almost 30 years prior to her retirement in 1992. She was a longtime, active member of the First Baptist Church in North Attleboro where she was a member of the Philathea Class, sang in the church choir, served as a Deacon, member of the Standing Committee and member of the former Ladies Circle. One of her favorite pastimes was quilting and making rugs. She leaves two daughters: Heather Ann Lowe of Grain Valley, Missouri and Bonnie P. Lowe of North Attleboro; four grandchildren: Eric C. Lowe of Blue Springs, Missouri; Richard Ian Lowe of Plantation, Florida; Timothy L. Iacobucci of Orlando, Florida and Emily A. Iacobucci of North Attleboro; a great grandchild: C.J. Lowe of Blue Springs, Missouri; a sister: Beryl Maddows of Raynham and several extended family members and dear friends. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 7:00 9:00 PM in the Commonwealth Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church, 75 Park Street, North Attleboro with the Rev. Ethel Corbin, Interim Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to return with the family to the First Baptist Church for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the Church Parlor.
