Muriel S. Moore, 83, of Mansfield, passed away on, December 8, 2016 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Hubert Moore, to whom she was wed on August 22, 1954, and who died August 18, 1993.Born on February 23, 1933 in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Merrill Sherwin Steere and the late Flora I. (Smith) Steere.A resident of Mansfield since 1970, Muriel previously resided in Louisiana, Michigan, and on the North Shore of Massachusetts. She was a graduate of East Providence (RI) High School, Class of 1950, and worked for thirty-five years as a Secretary and Office Manager for Dr. John L. Garzia before retiring in 2000.Muriel enjoyed traveling, baking, and, more than anything else, spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, as will her home-baked cookies enjoyed by many.She is survived by her cherished children: Gary S. Moore and his wife, Karen M. (Main) Moore, of Mansfield, MA; and Cheryl A. (Moore) Smith and her husband, Bruce J. Smith, of North Attleboro, MA. She leaves five treasured grandchildren: James M. Moore, Elizabeth M. Moore, Alexander G. Smith, Lindsey A. Smith, and Nicole A.
