Monte "Dale" D. Bryant

Monte "Dale" D. Bryant, 63, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of the late Yolanda Celeste "O'Keefe" Bryant, to whom he was married on July 8, 1989, who died on December 27, 2017, and who was truly the love of Dale's life and best friend.Born on July 8, 1955 in Riley, Kansas, he was the son of the late William Donald Bryant and the late Beverly Jane (Craig) Rushlow.Dale received his Bachelor's Degree from Brown University, and proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Navy. He retired after many years of work as a steel worker for a number of area businesses, and he then worked as a research counselor for Brown University before retiring in 2010. He was a resident of the Attleboro and North Attleboro area for the past thirty years. Dale was a warm, gentle, and kind man, whose family and wife meant everything to him. He genuinely cherished being with them and spending time with them whenever he could, and had a special place in his heart for his treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed travel, particularly aboard cruise ships to Florida; fishing; and boating. Dale loved playing the guitar, and the companionship of his cat, "Skippy". He leaves his loving children: Dianne M. (Schnabel) Jollimore of North Attleboro, MA; Susan T. Needle and her husband, William A. Needle, of Norfolk, MA; and Arthur Thomas Schnabel of Attleboro, MA. He was the adoring grandfather of six grandchildren and the proud great-grandfather of seven great-grandchildren. Dale was the loving grandfather of the late Briana Denise Jollimore. He was the dear brother of David Bryant, Duane Bryant, Therron Hamaker, Sean Hamaker, Lydia Ramirez, Melissa Hamaker, and Monalisa Aguiar, and was predeceased by his siblings: Harvey "Skip" Bryant and Richard "Spike" LaClair. He leaves several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Dale by gathering for a Visitation with Veteran's Honors on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.Graveside Services will follow on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro, MA, at which time Dale will be laid to rest alongside his late wife, Yolanda.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dale's memory to Disabled American Veterans, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076, or online at www.dav.org.For additional information or to send the family a written expression of sympathy, please visit an online guest book at www.dyer-lakefuneralhome.com .
