Milton Harold Wade, 82, of Oak Hill Avenue, Attleboro, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Brockton where he had been a patient for the past month. He was the 41-year companion of Priscilla A. Sweet of Norton. Born in the Sheldonville section of Wrentham on June 20, 1932, he was a son of the late Fred C. and Ette L. (Emerson) Wade. He was a resident of the City of Attleboro for the past 62 years. He was a 1950 graduate of Wrentham High School and attended Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Mr. Wade was an Airline Transport Pilot flying Lear jets and was also a flight instructor. He was the owner and operator of Paugus Bay Seaplane Base in Lakeport, New Hampshire. Mr. Wade proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1952 - 1956 during the Korean War era. His favorite pastimes included hiking, snowmobiling and traveling to America's National Parks in the Western part of the country. He also liked to make trips to New Hampshire several times each year. In addition to his companion, he leaves a sister: Hazel M. Gardner and her husband, Raymond Gardner, of Wrentham; a sister-in-law: Helen Wade, wife of his late brother - Raymond Wade, of Wrentham; a niece: Kim L. Platek and her husband, John Platek, of Webster; a nephew: Daniel W. Gardner and his wife, Cindy Gardner, of Wrentham and several extended family members and good friends. He was also the brother of the late Dorothy E. Johnson whom had resided in Attleboro.
