Mildred Theresa Laflamme

Mildred "Millie" Theresa (Nelson) LaFlamme, 87, of Vernon Darrah Road, North Attleboro, MA, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at home with her beloved family by her side. She was the wife of the late Walter Armand LaFlamme who died on March 6, 2014. Born in Central Falls, RI on July 15, 1928, she was the daughter of Carl Nelson and Edna (Gilmore) Nelson. Mrs. LaFlamme worked for more than twenty years at the former Almacs Supermarkets in Rhode Island, and made North Attleboro her home for most of her adult life. She was an active volunteer at the North Attleboro Council on Aging who delighted in shopping and crafts and enjoyed listening to country music. She genuinely loved people, and most especially loved her family and every moment spent with her treasured grandchildren. She is survived by her cherished daughter, Sherry Ann DaRocha and her husband, Roberto C. DaRocha, of North Attleboro, MA. Mrs. LaFlamme was the devoted and adored grandmother of Robert W. DaRocha and Austin T. DaRocha, both of North Attleboro, MA, She was the sister of Howard Nelson of Plainville, MA; Douglas Nelson of IL; Jean (Nelson) Hope of Pawtucket, RI; and twin brothers John Nelson of Cumberland, RI and James Nelson of NH. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, her extended family, and many dear friends. Mrs. LaFlamme will be sorely missed by her sweet ten-year old Terrier companion, "Max". She was the sister of the late Robert Nelson and Joan Nelson. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home. Burial services will be privately held.
