Michael William Owens Sr.

Michael William Owens Sr., 53, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Lois F. (Hall) Owens.
Born on August 3, 1965 in Tulsa, OK, he was the son of the late Andrew "Mike" Joseph Owens and the late Bonnie B. (Kinnan) Owens.
A resident of Attleboro for most of his life, Michael worked for twelve years for United Van Lines, and as the proud owner and operator of M. Owens General Construction.
A warm and outgoing man, he generously volunteered his time and efforts for the Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Association. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his children, camping, spending time on his boat, and especially being with his family and friends. He held a special place in his heart for his Chihuahua, "Benjamin", and for his late pets, "Smokey", "Jake", and "Shadow".
In addition to his wife, Lois, he leaves his loving children: Chantel A. (Owens) Frazier and her husband, Lucas A. Frazier, of Attleboro, MA; and Joseph R. Owens of North Attleboro, MA. He was the father of the late Michael William Owens Jr., and the late Daniel J. Owens. He was the dear brother of Andrew J. Owens of Attleboro; Thomas L. Owens of Attleboro; Jack H. Owens of KY; Bonnie B. Hathaway of Attleboro; Tina M. Brock of KY; Ginger B. Troiano of Attleboro; and Donna L. Moore of Cumberland, RI. Michael was the proud grandfather of Skylar F. Frazier, Hunter L. Frazier, Noah M. Frazier, Angalina M. Owens, Daniel J. Owens Jr., August K. Owens, Michael William Owens III, Ethan A. Owens, Arianna Rose Owens, Shayla C. Owens, and Chace Phillips.
He leaves three generations of nieces and nephews, many dear friends, and his best friend, Dan Choiniere of Taunton, MA.
Burial will be privately held in Hillside Cemetery.
