Michael J. Martin, 77, of Franklin, formerly of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sandra J. (Shaw) Martin. They were happily married for 53 years.
Born in Attleboro, Ma., on September 16, 1946, he was the son of the late James and Marion (Jacques) Martin.
Michael was a seasoned accountant and the proprietor of Michael J. Martin Accounting in Plainville for many years. He proudly served as an Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. His community involvement included membership in the Attleboro Elks Club, coaching for the Little North Attleboro League, and serving as a dedicated leader for the North Attleboro Boy Scout Troop throughout his life. Additionally, he cherished his visits to Longboat Key, Florida, and relished spending time at Disney.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving sons, Christopher Martin and his wife, Jennifer, of Attleboro and Brett Martin and his wife, Tessa, from Huntington, Indiana. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Hailey, Megan, Hunter and Logan Martin and a devoted sister: Patricia Fielding of Sandwich, MA.
Relatives and friends are warmly welcome to attend visitation on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 9:00 am from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church,105 Stanley Street, North Attleboro, MA.
Burial with Military Honors will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's name may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
