Michael Mario Cardaci, Sr.

Michael Mario Cardaci, Sr., 93, of Norton, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the loving and beloved husband of Anne M. (Moreno) Cardaci, to whom he was married on November 28, 1948.Born on September 2, 1923 in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Santo Cardaci and the late Josephine (Ragusi) Cardaci.Michael proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Navy. A resident of Norton for the past two years, he previously lived in Wrentham, MA. Michael worked for many years in the Maintenance department of Instron in Canton, MA before retiring. He loved spending time with his family, and was an avid reader and history buff. Michael loved animals, most especially his late dog, "Shane". In addition to his wife, he leaves his beloved children: Lawrence Cardaci of New Mexico, and Paul S. Cardaci and his wife, Mary Cardaci, of Salisbury, MA. He was the father of the late Michael Mario Cardaci, Jr. Michael was the adoring grandfather of Loren and Alexander Carbone, Marissa and Judson Santarpia, John Cardaci, and James Cardaci; and the treasured great-grandfather of Alex Machado, Cianna Cardaci, Sadie Carbone, and Isabella Cardaci. He was predeceased by his siblings, Tommy Cardaci, Kay (Cardaci) Failla, and Rita (Cardaci) Luce, and leaves several nieces and nephews.
