Metro Woloshyn, 90, of Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro, died on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro where he had been a short time resident. He was the beloved husband of the late Lena (Miconi) Woloshyn to whom he was married on April 12, 1947 and who died on December 16, 2008. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on October 25, 1920, he was a son of the late Michael and Jennie (Chariton) Woloshyn. He was raised and educated in Walpole where he was a 1938 graduate of Walpole High School. Mr. Woloshyn was employed at Wrentham Products from 1941 - 1944 when he entered the United States Army Air Corps and proudly served from 1944 - 1946. Following his return from World War II, Mr. Woloshyn married his wife, Lena (Miconi) Woloshyn. From 1947 - 1954, he was employed at Jarvis Taps in North Attleboro and later worked for George E. Clintermack Company in North Attleboro; Detroit Controls Company in Norwood and C. Ray Randall Company in North Attleboro. In 1982, he retired from Texas Instruments where he had been employed for 21 years as a machine operator and setup man in the manufacturing of automotive, electrical and electronic parts. He and his wife built their home from a kit and proudly moved into their new home on Mount Hope Street in July of 1950 and resided there for the past 60 years. Mr. Woloshyn continued to treasure the times spent working around his home and property and enjoyed antique auto shows. He leaves a sister: Helen Seher of Southampton; a brother: Fred Woloshyn of Memphis, Tennessee; three generations of nieces and nephews and several extended family members including those of his late wife's family. He was the brother of the late Christine Manchester, John Woloshyn, William Woloshyn, Lillian Woloshyn, to whom he was a tireless caregiver for more than 40 years, and Alicia Spratt. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation with Veteran's Honors on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral service with Veteran's Honors immediately following visitation on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Katrina Clinton, officiating. Burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Following funeral home services on an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
