Merrilee Ann (Robinson) Fontaine, 78, of Attleboro, MA passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice in Providence, RI. She was the wife of David P. Fontaine.
Born in Lynnfield, MA on December 19, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Dr. George Sutherland Robinson and the late Dorothy Pingre (Lambert) Robinson. Raised and educated in her native Lynnfield, she received her bachelor’s degree in art from Rippon College.
In earlier years, she was an art teacher at King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham, MA.
She was a longtime member of the First “Oldtown” Congregational Church in North Attleboro, MA.
As a talented artist, she enjoyed painting as her favorite way of expression.
In addition to her husband, she leaves a son: James S. Fontaine and his wife, Laura (Sousa) Fontaine, of North Attleboro, MA; two grandchildren: Benjamin and Charlotte Fontaine of North Attleboro, MA; a twin sister: Bradlee Troy in Texas and extended family and friends.
She was the sister of the late George S. Robinson II who had resided in Pennsylvania.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service in Celebration of Her Life on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 am at the First "Oldtown" Congregational Church, 675 Old Post Road, North Attleboro, MA.
Burial will be private.
