Melita Valerie Quesada, 74, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on April 14, 2025, at HopeHealth Hospice in Providence, Rhode Island.
Melita is survived by her loving son, Matthew J. Quesada and his wife, Erin Quesada, and her granddaughter: Aurora Quesada, all of Sharon, MA. Her sister-in-law: Merrily Wilbur of West Warwick, Rhode Island and her nieces: Valerie Wesson and family of Oneco, Connecticut and Meredith Ingebretsen and family of Exeter, Rhode Island. Her loving companions: Heide-Whisker and Steinway.
Melita was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a degree in education and history with advanced courses in geology. She liked to say she "survived Woodstock". She has sailed the seas from Iceland to Cape Town, South Africa to Brazil, with some icebergs in between.
She traveled the United States for Brown & Sharpe as a "screw machine" repair person having a lot of fun with that. After moving to Massachusetts, she worked for Brainin Advance Industries in quality control as PPAP coordinator.
Music was a very important part of her life, playing tuba and trombone in the Canton American Legion Band, the Waltham American Legion Band, and the Double Eagle Oktoberfest Band. A musical highlight was busking in Central Park, New York City on the Concertina for a German male choir. Her encore job at Woodcraft for ten years was also a very important part of her life where she got to enjoy her scrollsaw woodworking and the amazing talented woodworkers there. She liked to say how the "agitator bottle" they sold was named after her.
"This has been FUN... now on to a new adventure"
