Maurice Paul Cardinal

Maurice Paul Cardinal, 81, of Woonsocket, RI, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI.
Born on February 1, 1939 in Grosvenordale, CT, he was the son of the late Girouard Cardinal and the late Adriene (Lasleur) Cardinal.
Raised and educated in Connecticut, he received his Associate degree in chemistry from Community College of Rhode Island and worked as a Chemist for various mills in Woonsocket before retiring.
Maurice proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Navy.
A resident of Woonsocket for the past forty years, he loved to read and was known to read the newspaper from cover to cover in ten minutes. He enjoyed bird watching and observing nature.
He leaves his dear friend and companion for many years, Rachel G. Feeley of Woonsocket; his brother, Roger Cardinal of Vermont; and his sister, Madeleine.
Visitation has respectfully been omitted.
Burial services will be privately held in the Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Maurice to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 71 Linden St Suite 1, Attleboro, MA 02703.
