Mauran "Marty" C. Snow

April 30, 1941 — March 7, 2022

Mauran Capwell "Marty" Snow, 80, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on March 7, 2022, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA where he had been a patient for a week.   He was the beloved husband of the late Bernadette K. (Dunn) Snow to whom he was married on August 7, 1976.
Born in North Attleboro, MA on April 30, 1941, he was a son of the late Everett Snow and the late Margaret Veronica (Capwell) Snow.  He was a graduate of King Philip Regional High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Snow worked at MIT's Draper Labs for 29 years.  A highlight of his tenure was his contribution to the NASA Apollo Moon missions. After leaving MIT he continued his career as a test systems engineer for Northrop-Grumman in Waltham for many years prior to retiring in 2006.
He was a resident of North Attleboro and Plainville, MA for most of his life except for residing in New Hampshire briefly.
Exalted in 1966, Mr. Snow was a longtime member of Bristol Lodge A.F. & A.M. in North Attleboro.  He served on the House Committee and as the committee's treasurer for many years. Additionally, he was a Trustee of the Angel Fund and was the Head Chef of the Lodge's Pancake Breakfast.  He was also a member of the B.P.O.E. - #1011 in North Attleboro.
He recently and proudly confirmed that he was a descendant of the Mayflower and became a member of the Mayflower Society.
His favorite pastimes included being a ham radio operator, cooking, and baking, especially sourdough bread, wood working and making model ships.  He will be remembered as being a modest man with a dry wit.
Left to mourn his loss are his two daughters: Kelly E. (Snow) Bryant and her husband, Kevin Bryant, of Elkridge, Maryland, and Rebecca "Becky" K. (Snow) Weeks and her husband, Jeffrey Weeks, of Attleboro, MA; four grandchildren: Cameron Bryant and Meloy Bryant both of Elkridge, Maryland; and Ryan Weeks and Charlie Weeks both of Attleboro, MA and several extended family members and dear friends.
He is predeceased by parents; his brothers, Willie and Everett "Hank" Snow, and the love of his life "Bernie".
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation with Veteran's Honors on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
A Masonic ritual service will take place at 7:00 p.m. during the visitation.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Burial with military honors will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Bernadette.
