Marylou Watters Brodeur, 79, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Retired Firefighter Gerard G. Brodeur, Attleboro Fire Department, to whom she was married on September 8, 1984, and of the late Richard A. Watters.Born on April 17, 1939 in Attleboro, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Henri and the late Mildred Royer.A lifelong resident of Attleboro where she was raised and educated, Marylou attended St. Stephen's Church. Prior to her retirement, she worked for many years as an Assembler for the Fisk Company in North Attleboro, and previously for Robbins Company and Texas Instruments in Attleboro.A warm, gentle, and caring woman, she was an avid reader. She enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time on Cape Cod with her family at their summer home. She especially loved being in the company of her cherished grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Gerard, she leaves her loving children: Mark R. Watters of Norton, MA; Deborah A. Reilly of Attleboro, MA; and Gerard E. Brodeur of Las Vegas, NV. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of Ryan Wilkins, Kyle Wilkins, Richard Wilkins IV, Hunter Reilly, Dylan Stewart, and Chase Stewart. She was the dear sister of Karen Mowrey of CA, and was predeceased by her late siblings: Richard Royer, Valerie Houde, Diane Coubron, Sandra Lindstrom, Cynthia Johnson, and Linda King. She leaves several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Marylou by gathering for a Visitation on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.Graveside services will be privately held in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro.In lieu of flowers, donations made in Marylou's memory to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.For additional information or to send the family a written expression of sympathy, please visit an online guest book at www.dyer-lakefuneralhome.com .
