Maryanne Lincoln

Maryanne (McCormack) Lincoln, 75, of Oak Point, Wrentham, died peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence on St. Patrick's Day - Sunday, March 17, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Donald A. Lincoln to whom she was married on October 30, 1959. Born in Ipswich, Massachusetts on April 1, 1937, she was a daughter of the late James and Hazel (Smith) McCormack. Mrs. Lincoln was a 1955 graduate of Ipswich High School and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Boston University in 1959. A dedicated and devoted homemaker, Mrs. Lincoln was also an avid traditional hooker. She taught rug hooking and dyeing wool since 1971. Her specialty was color and for many years she wrote the dye articles for Rug Hooking Magazine. She also was the author of several books, belonged to many rug hooking guilds, and several of her over one hundred pieces have earned recognition in regional shows. She was a member of the Franklin Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Mrs. Lincoln was raised and educated in Ipswich and moved to Wrentham in 1972. In addition to her husband, she leaves three children: Michael D. Lincoln of Litchfield, New Hampshire; Kathleen M. Laurghran of Franklin and James R. Lincoln of Wrentham; four grandchildren; her siblings: James McCormack of Ipswich; Barbara Robishaw of Newport, Vermont and Richard McCormack of New Durham, New Hampshire and several extended family members and dear friends. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the Franklin Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 250 Maple Street, Franklin. Burial will be private in Wrentham Centre Cemetery, Wrentham. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made in her name to the Community Visiting Nurses Association, 10 Emory Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
