Mary Helen Stewart

Mary Helen (Hines) Stewart, 94, of Plainville, MA, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 2, 2018. Born on December 21, 1923 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alexander R. and Helen R. (Gillis) Hines.A resident of Plainville since 1982, Mary previously lived in North Attleboro and Wrentham, MA.Mary had been employed as a Home Health Aide with Beta Services, and, during World War II, she proudly worked as a Welder in the Boston shipyards.Mary was an avid reader who enjoyed music, and observing and feeding wildlife, especially deer and bird.She was the loving mother of Bruce C. Stewart of North Attleboro, MA; Arline L. Stewart of Dracut, MA; Brian L. Stewart of Keene, NH; and Anita M. Parenteau of Taunton, MA. Mary was the proud and adoring grandmother of three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and the grandmother of the late Justin Stewart. She was the sister of Dorothy R. Hines of Dorchester, MA, the late Douglas M. Hines, and the late Robert A. Hines. She leaves numerous nieces and nephews. She was the former wife of Charles R.
