Mary Saraiva

Mary (Mellen) Saraiva, 81, of Tripps Lane, East Providence, Rhode Island; formerly of Crescent View Avenue, Riverside section of East Providence, Rhode Island died on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the wife of the late Jose J. Saraiva, Jr. Born in Central Falls, Rhode Island on May 18, 1932, Mrs. Saraiva was the daughter of the late Frank and Jennie (Azzolina) Mellen. She had been employed as an accounts payable clerk and cashier for the former Cherry & Webb in Attleboro and Realls Outlet in Port Charlotte, Florida prior to her retirement in 2001. She leaves her two sons: Frank Saraiva of Riverside, Rhode Island and Jose J. Saraiva III of Florida; four grandchildren; a sister: Carol McDonald of Seekonk and several extended family members and friends. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Martha Roman Catholic Church, 2595 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, Rhode Island.
