Mary Jane "Jane" (Labonte) Fauteux, 85, of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home in Norton, MA. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Lawrence Fauteux, to whom she was married on June 16, 1962. Born on December 13, 1931 in Plainville, MA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Laura (Lizot) Labonte.Jane worked for many years as a Cafeteria Worker for the North Attleboro School System, retiring in 1990.A lifelong resident of North Attleboro, she was a woman of great faith who, for many years, was a member of Sacred Heart Church there.She enjoyed cooking and reading cookbooks, sewing, listening to Polka music, and visits to her family's home in Holiday, Florida. A warm and caring woman with a kind spirit, she could often be heard speaking French, and took great pride and pleasure in tending her flower garden with her husband. More than anything, Jane simply loved being with her family.In addition to her husband, Joseph, she leaves her cherished children: James L. Hagerty and his wife, Christine A. (Bouffard) Hagerty, of North Attleboro, MA; and Stephen J. Hagerty and his wife, Jo-Ann (Burns) Hagerty, of Attleboro, MA. She was the adoring grandmother of six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Jane was the sister of Roger Labonte of North Attleboro, MA, Pauline Kirby of Attleboro, MA, Henry Labonte of Attleboro, MA, and was predeceased by her siblings: David Labonte and Eva Breault. She leaves several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Jane was the wife of the late Charles Hagerty. Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Jane by gathering for a Visitation on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.Private burial services will be held at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
