Mary Ann Cuce

Mary Ann (Henry) Cuce, 59, of Oneida Drive, North Attleboro, died at her home on Saturday, September 3, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Dominic C. Cuce to whom she was married on April 3, 1976. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 18, 1952, she was the loving daughter of the late Bernard T. and Henrietta (Chabot) Henry. She was raised and educated in Dedham where she was a 1970 graduate of Dedham High School. While growing up in Dedham she was under the watchful eye of her doting elder brother, Thomas. Mrs. Cuce earned her Bachelor of Education degree from Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire in 1974 and later earned her Masters in Education from Lesley College. She was a resident of North Attleboro for the past 33 years and it is where she welcomed all of her three children. Ever a devoted mother, she spent sixteen years as a full-time mother to her children prior to embarking on her teaching career. She was a communicant of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in the Village of Attleboro Falls. Mrs. Cuce was a substitute teacher for the North Attleboro School Department prior becoming a first grade teacher at the Thatcher Elementary School in Attleboro in 2000. For the past ten school years she was devoted to her students and enjoyed the company of generous colleagues. As a teaching professional she was a member of the A.D.K. Sorority. She personified generosity, wisdom and selflessness. She was truly a blessing to her family and friends and will be remembered and deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. In addition to her husband of 35 years, she leaves a daughter: Marisa C. McBrine and her husband, John A. McBrine, of Waltham; two sons: Damien P. Cuce of Dreshertown, Pennsylvania and Evan B. Cuce of North Attleboro; two grandchildren: William H. McBrine and Anna C. McBrine both of Waltham; her brother: Thomas Henry and his wife, Inez R. (Lanzini) Henry of Scituate; several members of her husbands family in Pennsylvania; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, colleagues and former students. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 4:00 8:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Those in need of a ride to visitation may simply call (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis local transportation. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 105 Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Towne Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Childrens room available during visitation and while the funeral cortege is being organized. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dyer-Lake Charitable Foundation, Inc., a registered 501 (c) (3) organization, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02760 to benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
