Mary Lucy Cauldwell

March 27, 1925 — June 8, 2020

Mary Lucy (Gasbarro) Cauldwell 95, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 peacefully at her home with her family and friends by her side. Mary was the beloved wife of William A Cauldwell whom she married on April 7, 1956. They were completely devoted to each other and were blessed to share a 64-year marriage.
Born on March 27, 1925 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frank Gasbarro and the late Josephine (DesRoches) Gasbarro.
A resident of North Attleboro for the past thirty-one years where she had previously been a member of St. Mary's Church, she formerly lived in Cumberland, RI.
Mary was a woman of strong faith who deeply cherished her family. She truly loved life and had an infectious laugh and huge smile. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life such as her almost daily trips to Bliss Dairy for waffles with bananas and vanilla ice cream.  She won the hearts of both the staff and clientele who soon became very good friends, especially Paula Gagnon whom she loved dearly.
Mary absolutely loved being outdoors: camping and taking long rides in the country. Mary was an adventurer who enjoyed traveling, especially her trip to England and numerous trips visiting her daughter in the Caribbean.
She was the loving mother of the late Timothy William Cauldwell; Janet Sweeney of St. Thomas USVI and her fiancé, Michael Monsour; Richard Drew of Carver, MA; and Joanne Mello of Taunton, MA. Mary had many nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Linda Carter, who provided compassionate care and friendship for many years.
Mary was blessed with many friends including Kimberly Beck, Fernanda and Bill Muggle, and Susan Paquin.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Graveside Service for Mary on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Attleboro Falls, MA, with strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of face masks.
