Mary Patricia Caracoglia, 95, of Stoney Brook Lane, Attleboro, died on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving caregivers following a brief illness. Born in Wakefield, Massachusetts on November 22, 1916, she was a daughter of the late John and Antonia (Publist) Caracoglia. A resident of Attleboro since 1977, Miss Caracoglia was a former resident of Mansfield where she resided from 1976-1977. Prior to moving to Mansfield she was a resident of Wrentham and Taunton. Prior to her retirement, Miss Caracoglia was employed by Attleboro Enterprises in North Attleboro for ten years. She will be lovingly remembered for her quick wit and contagious smile. Among her favorite pastimes were talking, shopping, playing bingo, crocheting and vacation trips to Cape Cod. She treasured the time spent in the company of her beloved friends and caregivers. Miss Caracoglia was a fan of Shirley Temple and she enjoyed the time spent participating at the WISE day program in Taunton. Among her extended family, she leaves two nieces: Carla Johnson in North Carolina and Paula Tammaro of Reading and several dear friends. She was the sister of the late Cora Caracoglia, Silvio Caracoglia, Joseph Caracoglia, Charles Caracoglia, Paul Caracoglia and Louis Caracoglia. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Jewel Hardmon, Pastor of the Fruit of the Spirit Mission Church, Attleboro, officiating. Children's room available during the funeral service. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Attleboro. Following graveside services an invitation will be extended to join her family and friends for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
