Martha Louise (Ilkowitz) Murray, 79, of North Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, with the love and support of her daughter, Pamela, who was at her side during her illness and after having been surrounded by loved ones during her final days. She was the former spouse of the late Robert Allen Murray who died in 2021.
Born in Attleboro, MA on April 5, 1944, she was the daughter of the late William Richard Ilkowitz and the late Pearl H. (Holcomb) Ilkowitz Horski and her late husband, Stanley Horski.
Martha was a lifelong resident of the Town of North Attleboro where she was raised and educated.
Her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren affectionately referred to her as "Ma'ama"
She was employed as a payroll clerk for the former InterPay Company, a payroll processing company in Mansfield, MA, for 16 years prior to her retirement. Following her retirement, she worked as a hostess at the former Signatures Restaurant in North Attleboro, MA.
Martha was tirelessly devoted to her family, she treasured each and every moment spent with each of them creating lifelong memories to cherish. Her family was the most important thing in her life.
Her family will remember the many laughs they shared, her sense of humor, on occasion her outspokenness, and her favorite line" "It is what it is".
She enjoyed knitting, crafting, spending times with her sisters, her beloved dogs and her much loved hummingbirds.
Left to mourn her loss are her children: Pamela L. LaBree, her devoted caregiver, of Pawtucket, RI; Angela Duffy of Fairhope, Alabama and Timothy A, Murray of North Attleboro, MA; her grandchildren: Alissa and her husband, Aaron, Sr., and children: Aaron Jr. and Austin; Brittney and her husband, Angel, and children: Trinity, Jack and Julian; Brooke and her husband, Nick, and children: John, Carson, Riley and Blakely; and Dustin and Kory; her sisters: Nancy E. Martin in North Carolina; formerly of North Attleboro, MA and Wanda Horski of North Attleboro, MA; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
She was the mother of the late Scott Hugh Murray; grandmother of the late Steven Reardon and was the sister of the late William R. Ilkowitz, Jr. and Helene J. Cameron.
