Martha Faye (Leary) Boone, 69, of Attleboro, MA, formerly of Dorchester MA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 7, 2021, after having given her life to Jesus Christ years ago. She was the longtime partner of Willie Earl Davis of Boston, MA, and was the wife of the late Edward Lee Boone who passed years ago.
Born in Edenton, North Carolina on August 8, 1951, she was one of several children born to the late Raleigh Leary Sr. and the late Della (Wilson) Leary.
She was a resident of the City of Boston, MA for most of her life prior to moving to Attleboro, where she resided for the past two years.
Martha always had a love for children, shown in her care and compassion for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She later used those skills to care for family members and other children in her home for many years.
Mrs. Boone attended the Fruit of the Spirit Mission Church and became the mother of the church.
Her family lovingly remembers her love for dancing, housekeeping, and cooking - especially her wonderful breakfasts and frying fish. She enjoyed decorating, maintaining her fish tank, and caring for her grandkids.
In addition to her longtime companion, she leaves two children: Theresa Faye Leary-Johnson and her husband, Dwayne Johnson, with whom she resided in Attleboro; and Calvin Leary of Boston, MA. She leaves ten grandchildren: Raymond Ivey; Kevonn Ivey; Keyshawn Johnson; Taleesa Leary; Jaleek Leary; Derek Garner and his wife, Ashley Garner; Cyarhia Tibbs; Danasha Reddick; Daniekqua Reddick; and Calvin Reddick, all of Boston, MA; and ten great grandchildren.
Martha was the sister of Barbara Leary; Ann Leary; David Leary and his spouse, CharlesAnn Leary; James Leary and his spouse, Olivia Wilder; and Mac Leary and his spouse, Ronda Bohannon; William Copeland and his spouse, Fannie Copeland; the late Raleigh Leary Jr.; the late Edward Brooks and his spouse, Tilue Brooks; the late Herbert Cofield and his spouse, Dorothy Cofield; the late Mary Walter; and the late Geneva Tripp. She leaves many nieces, nephews, her extended family members, and many dear friends.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
A Going Home Service will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021, in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Burial will be private.
Following services, family and friends will be invited to join the family at a repass to be announced at the conclusion of services.
