Marjory "Margie" Mae (Holbrook) Oberg, 84, of Attleboro, MA passed away with her loving, caring, dedicated daughter, Ruth, by her side at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island on Sunday, April 4, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Carl Oberg to whom she was married on December 2, 1979.
Born in Attleboro, MA on October 13, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Earl P. Holbrook and the late Virginia "Ginny" (Merrill) Holbrook, the former City of Attleboro City Clerk.
She was a lifelong resident of the City of Attleboro and was a 1954 graduate of Attleboro High School. Mrs. Oberg then attended and graduated from the former Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Pawtucket, Rhode Island in 1958. While at Attleboro High School, she was a member of the band, orchestra and a cappella. She served on the Reunion Committee for the Attleboro High School Class of 1954.
Mrs. Oberg was employed by Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. She worked for 20 years in the operating room and endoscopy unit and for another 25 years in the maternity ward.
She was a lifelong member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Attleboro, MA where she served as a member of the choir and was a member and past president of the Taulambda Circle.
An active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mrs. Oberg served as the past secretary and Matron of the Hope Chapter #41 Order of the Eastern Star, past Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of the Massachusetts Order of the Eastern Star for 30 years and was the past Deputy Grand Matron and Deputy Grand Marshall of the Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter: Ruth Ellen Farmer and her husband, Michael W. Farmer, of Attleboro, MA; her husband's two sons: Raymond L. Oberg and his wife, Janice (McDermont) Oberg of Florida and William L. Oberg of New Haven, CT; four grandchildren; her siblings: Carolyn Kosowski of Attleboro, MA; Geraldine Greene of South Attleboro, MA, and Earl P. Holbrook, Sr. of Merrimack, NH; six nephews, one niece and great nieces and nephews.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of facemasks, family and friends are cordially invited to honor Marjory by attending Visitation in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Church seating is limited for services.
Private inurnment will be held in Hillside Cemetery, South Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
