Marjorie C. (Peck) Waite, 92, of Swansea, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Country Gardens Nursing Rehabilitation Center, where she had lived since her journey with dementia began four years ago. She was born in Tewksbury, Massachusetts and raised and educated in Clinton, Massachusetts. In later years, she attended Fisher Junior College. Marjorie retired from Englehard Industries after working in the accounting office for ten years. She attended the Faith Alliance Church and was a member of the choir. She was an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed reading, knitting and music. For twenty-eight years, Marjorie and her husband resided in North Rehoboth, where they raised and educated their children. In later years she lived in North Attleboro and Attleboro. Marjorie leaves her two daughters, Beverly (Waite) Bedard of North Attleboro, Laurie Jane Waite of Sterling, Connecticut, and her five sons, William B. Waite of North Dighton, David R. Waite, Jr. of Deer Isle, Maine, Richard C. Waite of Rehoboth, Paul T. Waite of Foxboro, and Jeffrey A. Waite of Eugene, Missouri. She also leaves ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Marjorie leaves one sister, Evelyn Emory of Lincoln, Maine. Marjorie was the former wife of the late David R. Waite, Sr., and the mother of the late Leonard R. Waite, Sr., Stephen P. Waite, and Timothy J. Waite. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Her memorial service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Alliance Church, 833 Pleasant Street, Attleboro.
