Marion Louise (Kratoville) James, 93, of North Washington Street, North Attleboro, died on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro. Born in Southampton, New York on June 25, 1920, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Henry) Kratoville. She resided in New York where she was raised and educated and was a graduate of Riverhead High School. She moved to Massachusetts from New York more than 70 years ago. She retired in 1984 following 22 years of service as an attendant at the former Wrentham State School, now Wrentham Developmental Center. She attended Grace Episcopal Church. Her favorite pastimes included cooking, reading, travelling the globe and volunteering with the Girl Scouts of America and New Hope, Attleboro. She leaves a daughter: Georgiana Betts of North Attleboro; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Mary Morriseau and Brenda Halsey and was the sister of the late Audrey Overton and Shirley Rambo. Funeral services and burial were conducted privately. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
