Marion Catherine Betts, 59, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
Born on August 16, 1961, in Attleboro, MA, she was the beloved daughter of Georgianna M. (James) Betts of North Attleboro and the late Walter W. Betts Jr.
A lifelong resident of North Attleboro, Marion was a graduate of North Attleboro High School, Class of 1979, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1983. She was employed as a Medical Inspector for Tegra Medical in Franklin, MA, for the past ten years.
A warm, outgoing, and caring woman, Marion generously volunteered her time and efforts for a number of causes including having sent many care packages to support our troops away from home. She enjoyed teaching at the Literacy Center in Attleboro and had a special place in her heart for animals of all kinds, especially horses.
In addition to her mother, Georgianna, she leaves her dear sister, Pamela Jean Jones of Ellsworth, MI, and her nephews: David A. Betts of North Attleboro, MA; Burton E. Jones and his wife, Michaela, of Michigan; and Norman G. Jones of Michigan. She was the sister of the late Dale Alan Betts who died on February 5, 2015; the aunt of the late Danielle C. Jones; and the granddaughter of the late Marion L. James, for whom she was named. She leaves many cousins, including her cousins Tonya and Darryl, with whom she was close, as well as many dear friends.
Visitation has respectfully been omitted and all services will be private.
