Marion May Allison

January 26, 1933 — January 4, 2019

Marion "Babe" May (Dike) Allison, 85, of Norton, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2019, surrounded by her loving and devoted husband and three daughters.  She was the beloved wife of Robert "Bob" John Allison, to whom she was married on October 11, 1952.
Born on January 26, 1933 in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of the late A. Chester Dike and the late Edith (Grey) Silk.
A graduate of Norwalk (CT) High School, Class of 1951, Marion worked as a Stenographer for Automatic Signal Corporation in Norwalk, and for the President of a bank in Pensacola, FL, before retiring.
A resident of Norton since 2008, Marion previously resided in Sarasota, FL. A woman of true faith, she was a member of St. Mark's Church in Attleboro Falls, MA.
Marion was a genuinely warm, caring and gracious woman who made everyone she knew feel special.  She enjoyed playing Bridge, golf, collecting Roosters of most every kind, listening to Frank Sinatra, especially "My Way", playing the slot machines, and caring for her health and beauty. She was in every way the Queen of her family. Marion loved knitting special items for her grandchildren, having made Christmas stockings for each of them. She and Bob shared a very special bond, truly enjoying their life together, and delighting in trips to Europe and throughout the world, often onboard cruise ships. She and Bob instilled their love of travel in their grandchildren by taking each one of their eight grandchildren to Disney World in special celebration of their tenth birthday. Marion had the most beautiful handwriting and enjoyed writing notes and scrap-booking her family and travels, writing special notes on each photograph.
She always held a special place in her heart for the many Schnauzers she had over the years. More than anything, Marion truly cherished spending every moment she could with her beloved family.
In addition to her husband, Bob, she leaves her loving children: Deborah A. Azzolina and her husband, James P. Azzolina Jr., of Washington Township, NJ; Donna M. Anderson and her husband, Steve A. Anderson, of Mansfield, MA; and Anne Marie E. Cavicchi and her companion, Frank J. Servello, of Attleboro, MA. She was the proud grandmother of Jennifer M. King, Allison E. McLean, James P. Azzolina III, Kristyn M. Medina, Elizabeth A. Azzolina, Rachel A. Rossi, Angela M. Cavicchi, and Robert S. Cavicchi; and the adoring great-grandmother of Jake, Hannah, Rilee, Charlie, Gio, Dom, A.J., Gia, and Ava.  Marion was excitedly looking forward to the birth of her newest great-grandson in Spring. She leaves her extended family and many dear friends.
Friends and relatives cordially invited to honor and remember Marion by gathering for a Visitation on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
