Marilyn Jean Shearer

Marilyn Jean (Littlefield) Shearer, 86, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Leslie Shearer who died on December 7, 2011.
Born on October 29, 1932 in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harold Littlefield and the late Dorothy (Studly) Nichols.
A resident of Attleboro since 1976, where she was a member of First Baptist Church, she previously lived in Bryant, AR and Scituate, MA. She worked as a Surgical Technician Assistant at Norwood Hospital for thirty years before retiring.
Marilyn held a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats, and was a co-founder of Attleboro Friends of Cats and a co-founder of Attleboro Friends of Dogs, Inc. She proudly had a book published a book entitled "Chase That Tail Abigail". She was intrigued by genealogy, and delighted in taking excursions for yard and estate sales. More than anything, Marilyn cherished her family and good friends and spending time with them.
She was the loving mother of Jeffrey H. Rowell of Carver, MA; Janellen Pinkos and her husband, Donald Pinkos, of Attleboro, MA; Dana Lloyd Rowell of Boston, MA; Paige A. McSween and her husband, Robert J. McSween, of Attleboro, MA; and Kathy Nichols of Milwaukee, WI. Marilyn was the dearest mother of the late Patricia L. Rowell, who died on June 2, 2019, and the late Karen F. Rowell, who died on August 6, 2016. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of five grandchildren and three great-grand-children. Marilyn leaves many dear friends.
All services will be privately held.
