Marilyn Louise (Leonard) Boyce, 78, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro.
Born on March 26, 1941 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late William Leonard and the late Evelyn (Smith) Leonard.
Raised and educated in the Chicago area, she was a graduate of Grant Community High School in Fox Lake, IL. She was a resident of North Attleboro for many years, having previously lived in Taunton, MA. Marilyn worked for thirty years as a Food Service Clerk at Raynham Park before retiring.
She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, always smiling, and always laughing. She enjoyed shopping and the simple pleasure of watching television, especially The Golden Girls, and was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs. More than anything, Marilyn cherished spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She was the loving mother of Ronald W. Boyce and his wife, Julie A. (Marvitz) Boyce, of North Attleboro, MA; Kimberly L. Erickson and her husband, Donald E. Erickson, of Attleboro, MA; and Paula B. Jones and her husband, Ronald F. Jones, of North Attleboro, MA. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of Michael Coelho, Brooke Boyce, Ryan Boyce, Jonathan Boyce, Matthew S. Marvitz, Michael P. Marvitz, Terra M. Falcione, and Julie D. Flath. She leaves nine dear great-grandchildren. Marilyn was the sister of the late William Leonard and the late Richard Leonard, and is survived by her nephew, William Leonard. She was the longtime companion of Cataldo Belmosto of Taunton, MA.
Friends and relatives are cordially invited to honor and remember Marilyn by gathering for a Memorial Visitation on Thursday,?November 14, 2019?from?5:00?p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, followed by a Funeral and Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 p.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
Burial services will be held at a later date in Chicago, IL.
