Marie E. Yurek Ryder

Marie E. (Riley) Yurek Ryder, 79, of Raynham, MA; formerly of Norton, MA and North Attleboro, MA, died peacefully at her residence on January 18, 2021.  She was the wife of William Dunham Ryder to whom she was married on October 4, 2014.  She was the wife of the late Louis Leo Yurek who died on March 11, 2011.
Born in Medford, MA on November 27, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Riley and the late Evelyn (Dondaro) Riley.  She was raised and educated in Medford where she was a graduate of Medford High School.  She earned an associate degree from the former Bentley College.
She was employed as an administrative assistant at Home Instead Senior Care and Attleboro Community Counseling prior to her retirement.
A resident of Raynham, MA since 2014, she resided in Norton, MA from 1998 - 2013 and previously North Attleboro, MA.
She was a communicant of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Raynham.
Her favorite pastimes were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, creating lifelong memories to cherish.
Taking drives, camping, and traveling were also enjoyed by Marie.  She was a member of the informal coffee club known as "Le Girls" which they enjoyed conversing and laughing amongst themselves.
In addition to her husband, she leaves four children: James L. Yurek of Taunton, MA; Thomas R. Yurek and his wife, Kathryn (Read) Yurek, of Attleboro, MA; David J. Yurek and his wife, Kristine R. (Dolan) Yurek, of North Attleboro, MA and Trindalee Yurek Batchelder and her husband, Eric Batchelder, of Franklin, MA; a step-daughter: Rhonda Dee Webster of Henderson, Nevada; five grandchildren: Lindsay Yurek, Thomas Yurek, Justin Yurek, James Batchelder and Daniel Batchelder; a sister: Carol E. Howard and her husband, Robert Howard, of Tucson, Arizona; a brother: Joseph Riley of Medford, MA and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the mandatory use of facemasks, relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Private burial will follow in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Rehoboth.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations her name may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
