Marie Teresa (L'Annunziata) Miklaszewski, 77, of Pembroke, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2020 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Anthony Miklaszewski who passed away in December 2000.
Born on July 18, 1942 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Michael L'Annunziata Sr. and the late Marie Irene (Dufault) L'Annunziata.
A graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield, she then received her nursing education at Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield. Marie became a Registered Nurse and worked with genuine compassion for twenty years for the South Shore Educational Collaborative in Hingham caring for individuals with special needs.
A resident of Pembroke for the past three years, she previously lived in Bridgewater, Halifax, Hull and Holyoke, MA. Marie attended our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Halifax.
Her true kindness, warmth, and generosity defined Marie. She was deeply devoted to helping those with special needs years volunteering at JERICHO (The Bureau for Exceptional Children and Adults). She enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing, and cooking. More than anything, she loved her family and cherished spending time with them.
Marie leaves her loving children: Her twin sons, Anthony Miklaszewski and his wife, Ginny, of Plainville, MA, and Joseph K. Miklaszewski of Abington, MA; Teresa Hurley and her husband, James, of Bridgewater, MA; Angela Sanders and her husband, Jason, of Hickory, NC; and Kathleen Miklaszewski of Taunton, MA. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of seven grandchildren, and the sister of Michael L'Annunziata Jr. and Roseanne L'Annunziata, both of California. Marie leaves her extended family and many dear friends.
A Private Visitation will be held for Marie's family on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
A Private Graveside Service will be held in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley, MA, at which time Marie will be laid to rest alongside her dear late husband.
