Marie "Dolores" Dolores Frank

Marie "Dolores" Dolores (Knapp) Frank, 88, of Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Life Care Center of Attleboro in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold H. Frank.Born on November 10, 1928 in Saginaw, MI, she was the daughter of the late Jan Knapp and the late Mary (Liss) Knapp. Dolores was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1946, in Saginaw, MI, and thereafter attended business school for two years. Before retiring in 1993, she worked for many years as a Certified Medical Transcriptionist at the VA Hospital in Michigan, at other hospitals in the state, as well as for Bell Telephone.A resident of Attleboro for the past five years, she had previously lived in Pensacola, FL. Dolores was a woman of many interests. She could often be found at her computer, sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, and painting. She enjoyed music, and played the organ and flute. She was a member of the Indian River Women's Club. Dolores cherished spending time with her family, and the company of her late faithful companions; "Pooka", "Benji", "Max", and "Anja". She leaves her loving and beloved children: Jan P. (Fleminger) Lathum and her husband, Larry P. Lathum, Jr., of Attleboro, MA; Thomas J. Frank and his fiancée, Kathy L. Cooper, of Westcliffe, CO; and Sarah E. (Frank) Ebermayer and her husband, Christian Ebermayer, of Redding, CT. She was the adored grandmother of Sarah P. Lathum and her partner, Robert P. Gerety, Jr., of Salem, MA; and Eric T. Frank of Memphis, TN. Dolores leaves several nieces and nephews, including her very special niece: Mary Deeg-Kowalewski of Saginaw, MI; her extended family, and many dear friends.She was the sister of the late George Knapp, the late Walter Knapp, and the late Virginia (Knapp) Deeg.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the "Commonwealth Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service immediately following visitation on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. in the "Commonwealth Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Burial will be private A children's room is available during the visitation and funeral service.Those in need of a local ride to the visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dolores to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
