Marie "Mia" Costello, 80, of Attleboro, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA, surrounded by her beloved family.She was born in Taunton, MA on November 28, 1933, and was the longtime, loving and beloved partner of Joy Blais.A resident of Attleboro for the past seven years, she spent the early part of her life in Mansfield, on Bungay Lake. Leaving Mansfield in 1992, Mia moved to St. Croix for a brief period of time, eventually moving to Ft. Myers, FL. Mia worked for an aerospace company while living in Florida, until her eventual retirement in Attleboro.A kind and caring woman her entire life, Mia loved butterflies, going to the beach, dancing, and listening to Bette Midler.In addition to her loving and beloved partner, Mia is survived by her son, Michael R. Costello and his wife, Susan A. Costello, of Rehoboth, MA.  She was a cherished grandmother of Kelley A. Costello of East Providence, RI, and Kasey L. (Costello) McCoy of Florida.  She was the great-grandmother of Cody P. Danz, Jayden M. McCoy, Gavyn B. Bowlby, and Penelope McCoy.  She had many friends who loved her dearly.Per request of the family, services will be private.
