Marie E. Correira, 77, of Bristol, RI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at home surrounded by her cherished family. She was the beloved wife of Frank Correira for forty-one years.
Born on May 17, 1943 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eva Mary Sgroi.
The center of Marie's world was her family. When the youngest of her children completed middle school, she worked as a home maker. She loved to play Bingo and enjoyed socializing with her neighbors.
In addition to her husband, Frank, she leaves her loving children: Deborah Ann McKenney of Cumberland, RI; Sandra Jean Monahan of Warwick, RI; Sid Correira of Round Rock, TX; and Brian J. Correira of Palm Bay, TX. She was the dear sister of Jean Butler of Bristol, RI. Marie was the proud grandmother of Ronald Silva, Christopher Silva, Andrew C. Correira, Courtney L. Rossman, Jacob R. Correira, Sofia A.M. Correira, Sebastian P. Correira, and Sullivan J. Correira, and step-grandmother of Tara and Stephen LeBlanc, and the adoring great-grandmother of Kalliope Correira and Elijah Correira, and two great-step grandchildren, Steven LeBlanc and Nick LeBlanc. She leaves her extended family and many dear friends.
A Private Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, followed by a Private Funeral Service at the funeral home.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of face masks, Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend A Memorial Mass on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth's Church in Bristol, RI.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Marie to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd, Suite # 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
