Maria E. Alix, 102, of North Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur O. Alix.Born on November 9, 1913 in North Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Telesphore Dargis and the late Agnesia (Achin) Dargis.Maria was born and educated in North Attleboro, where she and her husband then raised their family. She truly was a loving woman whose greatest joy and devotion was her family. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in North Attleboro, an avid bowler for more than fifty years, and enjoyed swimming and word puzzles. She was the cherished mother of the late Arthur J. Alix and his wife, Gail Alix, of RI; the late Roland G. Alix and his wife, Ann Alix, of North Attleboro, MA; Roger P. Alix and his wife, Joan D. Alix, of North Attleboro, MA; Suzanne A. (Alix) Connelly of North Attleboro, MA, and her late husband, Raymond F. Connelly; and Constance "Connie" B. (Alix) Feid of North Attleboro, MA, and her late husband, Thomas David Feid. She was the adoring grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and the sister-in-law of Oriette Alix of North Attleboro, MA.
