Maria E. Aguiar

Maria E. (Garcia) Aguiar, 80, of North Attleboro, MA; formerly of Attleboro, MA passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Milford Regional Medical Center.  She was the wife of the late Luis A. Aguiar who died in 2002.
Born in St. Miguel, Azores on May 1, 1944, a daughter of the late Joao Manuel Garcia and the late Jorgina Garcia.
Raised and educated in her native country, she resided in the Azores until immigrating to the United States.
As a jewelry packer, Mrs. Aguiar was employed by Swank and L. G. Balfour Company prior to her retirement.  However, she considered being a dedicated and devoted mother to her children as her greatest accomplishment.
She was a longtime communicant of Holy Ghost Church and later St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Attleboro.
Her favorite pastimes included knitting, making clothes, cooking and doting on and caring for her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren and traveling to Canada to visit family.
She leaves her children: John M. Aguiar of Attleboro, MA; Louise I. Viveiros of North Attleboro, MA and Lucia Ferreira of North Attleboro, MA; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; her sole surviving sibling: Maria DaLuz in San Miguel, Azores and several nieces and nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation on Thursday, August 1,2024, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel".
Burial will follow on Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro, MA.
