Margaret Kiki May (Stein) Irving, 87, of John Wescott Drive, North Attleboro, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Irving who died in August 1984. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 5, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Gervin C. Stein, Sr. and Consuelo M. (Wouters) Stein. Born in Louisiana, she resided in Georgia and New Jersey before settling in Larchmont, New York. Mrs. Stein graduated from Mamaroneck High School (New York) in 1943 and earned her associates degree from Endicott Junior College in 1945. In 1945, Mrs. Irving moved to Beverly where she resided until 1970 when she moved to Hamilton. In 1984 she left Hamilton and moved to North Attleboro where she resided for the past 27 years. She was a devoted and dedicated homemaker to her beloved and cherished family. Working amongst the bright colors of spring in her gardens was her favorite pastime. She treasured the time spent with her family and cherished the memories she created with her grandchildren and, in later years, her great grandchildren. Mrs. Irving leaves a daughter: Consuelo M. Wappel and her husband, Joseph Wappel, with whom she resided in North Attleboro; a son: Gregory P. Irving and his wife, Linda B. (Bromley) Irving, of Perrysburg, Ohio; three grandchildren: Tiffany L. Munoz in Florida; Kristin M. Campbell, RNFA of Attleboro and Kimberly M. Zimmer, RN of North Attleboro; three great grandchildren; a brother: Gervin C. Stein, Jr. of Riverside, California and several extended family members. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Kelly Thibeault, Pastor of the First Congregational Church, North Attleboro, officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. Please do not send flowers.
