Margaret Glencross Hagan, 96, of Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 in Attleboro, MA. She was the wife of the late Richard Walter Hagan, who died on December 6, 2003. Born on September 14, 1920 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Victor Glencross and the late Lucia (Woodworth) Glencross. A well-educated woman, Margaret was a graduate of Attleboro High School Class of 1938, received her Bachelor's degree from Simmons College, and her Master of Science degree from Northeastern University. She continued her education throughout her life, and studied at the University of Rochester, Boston University, and Bentley University. She worked for many years as an Educator, Nursing Coordinator, and Nursing Director, until retiring in 1992. A lifelong resident of Attleboro, she was a member of the Second Congregational Church. She was a member of the North Purchase Club, the Play Readers Club, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the VNA. She had a love of Orchids and Camellias; and was a member of the Camellia Society, Orchid Society, Pilgrim Orchid Society and the Cape and Islands Orchid Society. She had a special place in her heart for dogs, especially West Highland White Terriers. She is survived by her children: Richard G. Hagan and his wife, Karen, of Londonderry, NH; and John W. Hagan and his wife, Alice, of Durham, NC. She leaves two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was the sister of the late Lucia Johnson and the late Richard Glencross.
