Margaret B. (Pimental) Boucher, 92, of Attleboro, MA passed away in the arms of her daughter and surrounded by the love of her family at her residence on Monday, April 5, 2021. She was the wife of the late Raymond Boucher to whom she was married in 1954 and who passed on May 25, 1992.
Born in Taunton, MA on August 12, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Pimental and the late Mary C. (Duponte) Pimental. She was raised and educated in Taunton and was a 1946 graduate of Taunton High School. She later attended some evening classes at Brown University in Providence, R.I.
A resident of Attleboro, MA since 1948, she also wintered in Jupiter, Florida for 14 years.
Mrs. Boucher was employed as an accounting clerk for the former Metals and Controls and later becoming Texas Instruments until 1963.
As an associate member of the Sisters of Mercy religious order, she participated and promoted the values of Mercy namely spirituality, community, service, social justice and works of mercy. Margaret was grateful to serve the sisters at the convent at Bishop Feehan High School by preparing their meals and sharing fellowship.
A woman of strong religious convictions and beliefs, Mrs. Boucher was a devoted Catholic and was a communicant of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark Church in the Village of Attleboro Falls, MA. Previously, Mrs. Boucher was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist in Attleboro, MA. At St. John the Evangelist, she was a member of Mary's Helpers.
Margaret instilled in all her children and grandchildren her deeply held values of faith and family of which the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary was a centerpiece.
She was a talented artisan and particularly enjoyed creating custom decorated eggs like the world-famous Faberge eggs. Mrs. Boucher was a member of the Yankee Artisan Group. She was featured in a Sun Chronicle article on April 2, 1980 highlighting her eggery talents.
The focus of Margaret's life was truly her family. She would drop what she was doing to take the train to Boston to go with Ray to the design center or run to Michele's to help with the children.
She leaves her daughter with whom she resided: Michele M. (Boucher) Brunelle and her husband, Armand J. Brunelle III, of Attleboro, MA; a grandson: Marc A. Brunelle of Attleboro, MA; a granddaughter: Rachel M. Brunelle of Attleboro, MA.
She was the mother of the late Raymond Gerard Boucher who died on May 24, 2005. Margaret also leaves behind a devoted friend Robert Godbout of Middleton, MA who was like a second son to her.
In addition, Mrs. Boucher leaves extended family members and friends as well as the Sister of Mercy community.
She was the sister of the late Alfred J. Pimental and his late wives, Mary (Pacillio) Pimental and Louise (Perry) Pimental. Margaret's loving sister, the late Annie Pimental who died at the age of 16 was instrumental in Margaret's faith formation.
The Boucher family understands in the wake of the current pandemic that many family and friends might be concerned about attending the Mass of Christian Burial. Private visitation will be held in the "Commonwealth Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Saturday, April 10, 2021 followed by a PUBLIC Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark Church, 105 Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA to which family and friends are cordially invited.
