Margaret "Margie" B. (Nolin) Carmichael

December 26, 1934 — November 4, 2021

Margaret "Margie" B. (Nolin) Carmichael, 86, of Attleboro, MA passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully at her residence on Thursday, November 4, 2021. She was the best friend and wife of the late Robert William Carmichael whom she married on November 12, 1983, and who passed away on December 27, 2018.
Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on December 26, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. Nolin and the late Bridget M. (Narkewich) Nolin. She was raised and educated in Attleboro and remained a resident for most of her life.
"Margie", as she was affectionately known, was employed as a switchboard operator for the former Fortifiber Corporation in Attleboro for more than 15 years prior to her retirement.
She attended St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro, MA.
Margie will be remembered for her sense of humor, always acting young, and the love she held in her heart for the love of her life, Robert. She and Robert enjoyed times spent square dancing and rides to Cape Cod that would end with lunch or dinner at the Lobster Pot.
Her life centered and focused on her immediate and extended family. She cherished the time spent oil painting, particularly while taking lessons on television from Bob Ross. As an ardent bird lover, Margie had many bird feeders on her property and enjoyed communicating with them almost every day.  She also enjoyed rides in the car and trips to get pizza with her dear friend and sister-in-law, Patricia "Pat" Nolin, whom she shared many laughs since beginning their friendship at age 19.
Left to mourn her loss are her children: Diane A. Garcia of San Diego, California, and Karen M. Koziol and her wife, Andrea L. McMahon, of North Smithfield, Rhode Island; two grandchildren: Tyler P. Koziol and his wife, Michaela (Martins) Koziol, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and Brittany N. Garcia of Arvada, Colorado; her siblings: Virginia L. Johnson of Taunton, MA; Daniel F. Nolin and his wife, Carlene, of Plainville, MA; Robert E. Nolin and his wife, Shirley, of Taunton, MA; and Susanne H. Alegi and her husband, Robert, of Taunton, MA; and three generations of nieces and nephews, members of her husband's family, many dear friends, loving neighbors, and extended family members.
She was the sister of the late Dolores M. Bobola, John C. Nolin, Joseph V. Nolin, and Richard W. Nolin.
