Marcia Capron Samma

Marcia C. Samma (Capron) 86, of North Attleboro, MA., passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI. She was the mother of the late Peter Scott Gariepy and Betsey Gariepy.
Born on April 23, 1939, in Attleboro, MA., she was the beloved daughter of the late Franklin and Mazie (Obrist) Capron.
Marcia had a deep affection for orchids and various other flowers. She took pleasure in maintaining a stunning garden, engaging in painting, and creating reborn dolls. Her love for animals, both wild and domestic, was particularly evident in her fondness for her dogs, Suzette and Nicki. In her later years, she became less active and devoted much of her time to sitting on the couch with Nicki while watching television.
She is survived by her children, Susan Gariepy of North Attleboro, MA., and Steven Joseph Gariepy and his wife, Lucille L. Gariepy, of North Attleboro, MA., and her stepchildren, Jameela, Sakina and Khatija. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christina, Devin, Kurt, Brian, Kimberly, Michelle "Shelly", and Jason; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Keegan, Parker; a devoted brother, Franklin Capron Jr. & wife Constance "Connie" Capron; and her niece and nephews, William (Bill) and his wife Mary of Coventry, RI, Lori Jean Capron-Galan of Fairport NY, Ted and his wife Diana of Rochester NY.
A graveside service will be held on THURSDAY, May 22, 2025, at 10:00 am at North Purchase Cemetery, 825 North Main Street, Attleboro. There will be no services at the funeral home prior and attendees are invited to go directly to the cemetery.
