Marcia Alice Manoogian
December 13, 1956 — February 26, 2022
Marcia Alice Manoogian, 65, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI.
Born on December 13, 1956, in Milford, MA, she was the beloved daughter of Rose A. (Balian) Manoogian of North Attleboro, MA, and the late Charles Manoogian.
A graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1974, Marcia received her bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. A resident of North Attleboro for the past twenty years, she worked as a caring and compassionate music teacher at Martin School in North Attleboro, and then for ten years in the Town of Framingham public schools before retiring due to illness in October 2021.
Marcia reached generations of family members, friends, and students through music. She had a genuine talent for singing and playing guitar, as she provided countless hours of entertainment at family gatherings, big and small. Marcia was a fixture at family Christmas Eve celebrations for several decades, singing Christmas carols with the children and then leading the adults in a rendition of "The Twelve Days of Christmas".
Marcia provided great insight, peace, and comfort to many through her readings. She had a remarkable ability to be a present and eager listener, and a source of strength and comfort for those that sought her understanding and guidance.
Marcia's warm smile, contagious laugh, sense of humor, and exuberance will be dearly missed by so many.
In addition to her mother, she leaves her dear brother, David C. Manoogian, and his wife, Judy L. Manoogian, of North Attleboro, MA. Marcia was the loving aunt of Matthew H. (Melissa) Manoogian, Mark D. (Nicole) Manoogian and Alexandra E. (Michael) Azarian and leaves a large extended family and many dear friends.
Visitation has respectfully been omitted.
A Memorial and Celebration of Life Service will be held for Marcia at a date and time to be announced.
In lieu of charitable donations, the family asks that you honor Marcia's legacy by being intentional about seeing the good in people, and loving each other forward, especially when doing so seems difficult.
